Hello! My name is Yolanda and last week I saw an article about increasing security at the university. That´s why I write this e-mail because I want to give my opinion.
About installing scurity cameras on campus, I think it is a great idea. I agree with this decision. If the university had security cameras, it might have more prestige because it would be a safer school. The problem is that the cost of the camera is very expensive and this would require more staff, such as security guards.
I disagree with the use of electronic ID cards because when students forget their cards, they may have problems with their attendance. But people who agree with electronic ID cards would think it´s a great idea.
The database is very important for the authorities, then I agree with giving them information because I think if you are a person without legal problems you´re protected. In contrast, the problem could be when the database is in the hands of criminals and it can be hacked.
As I mentioned earlier, I agree with two points you suggested, first with the security cameras and the second with the database. I totally disagree with the use of electronic ID cards.
